BUV GP BOND SILVER is an economical good quality adhesive for permanent fixing of ceramic floor and wall tiles for mostly interior applications. It can also be used for fixing light weight tiles on wall.
BUV GP BOND SILVER conforms to BS5980 AA Type1 and suitability for contract with potable water as per BS 6920 Part 1
All surfaces must be sound and thoroughly clean before BUV GP BOND SILVER is applied. All traces of grease or oil must be removed with a chemical degreaser. All loose particles of mortar, old wallpaper, paint etc. Must be physically removed.
Apply BUV GP BOND SILVER to a uniform thickness of 3 mm to 6 mm on the support to cover the slots on the back of the tiles on an area of not more than 1m2 at a time. The trowel should have 6 mm notches at 25 mm intervals center to center. Apply the tile, press it, and smooth out carefully so that the mortar is spread evenly. If the bonding is perfect, the tile will not slide. The joint can be filled with BUV GP BOND SILVER.
BUV GP BOND SILVER is available in 25kg /20kg bags, and it has a minimum shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored under cover, out of direct sunlight.
